PARSEC Group

Online System Manager (OSM) for UNIX and Microsoft Windows

PARSEC Group includes base-level online system monitoring with each of our HP-UX, Oracle Solaris, AIX, Linux (Red Hat, SUSE and Ubuntu) and Microsoft Windows telephone support contracts. Our OSM™ is Nagios based with many customized enhancements that are available to you. The base-level monitoring allows PARSEC Group to proactively notify customers and/or be notified of events that may need action based on acceptable established and customizable thresholds.

OSM™ monitors your system(s) 24x7x365 looking for exceptions to normal system behavior. Once a threshold has been exceeded, a call home notification goes to the PARSEC Group's server, which in turn triggers the communication distribution based on the then current governance policy.

The monitoring client on each system is updated automatically on a daily basis from a master client copy at PARSEC Group. This allows for the implementation of new monitoring functions, correction of problem monitoring functions, and retirement of monitoring functions no longer in use. The update process does not override the client's established monitoring thresholds for that system.

The monitoring client also has built in Checks and Balances. This ensures that we do not overload valuable system resources with our monitoring processes. It also ensures that we have the proper version of the monitoring client running on the system.
