A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
TO ALL OPENVMS USERS AND PROSPECTIVE USERS:

As you know, the success of any operating system is very reliant on the support and training that is available. If companies cannot find qualified individuals or they can't train employees on the operating system, they will either migrate away from that operating system or not select it in the first place.

At one time, there was a lot of highly qualified OpenVMS talent available. That is no longer the case, since people began to perceive OpenVMS as a dead end and went on to other platforms. With the recent resurgence of OpenVMS, the biggest complaint is that it is virtually impossible to find already qualified OpenVMS professionals. As a result, there is an urgent need to provide OpenVMS customers with viable training options. When Global Knowledge Networks (GKN) was decertified as a Compaq OpenVMS training partner in the U.S. and many other parts of the world, this need became even greater.
